Our Events by Design founder Gloria Boyden, Master Wedding Planner, recently returned from the Association of Bridal Consultants World of Weddings Conference in Tampa, Florida {#ABCWOW18}. It was a fantastic two-day educational conference with many highlights.
Sandals Honeymoons and Destination Weddings
Gloria attended her Sandals presentation learning about all of the new improvements that have been made at the Sandals destination resorts. The Sandals Resorts are excellent for Caribbean honeymoons or destination weddings. What is so fantastic is that the Sandals properties are all-inclusive.
Wedding Trends
It is essential to keep up on current wedding trends. Keynote speaker Kristin Banta of Los Angeles included a few tips on trends for 2019, We are going to see touches of Asian inspired décor, statement floors, and ceilings {yes, what a remarkable blank canvas for wedding décor) and you’ll see more transparent structures, and wedding details.
Technology
Technology is changing daily, and clients and planners need to be aware of what is happening. A few things mentioned by industry expert Kellie Daab included 3D printing {you can even print on a tablecloth}. Virtual Reality where a person can wear goggles and actually walk through a room and then add tables, chairs, and linens, is headed our way.
